President's Message July 2011
Konstantin Akhrem Paragon Partners Ltd Happy New Fiscal Year to All! The 2011 Annual International Conference in Atlanta has demonstrated that, despite this challenging economy, the time is always right to invest in education and training on every level, whether it is an agency investing in its employee training or it is an individual professional taking charge of his or her career.
The networking opportunities at all
IRWA events help foster valuable business relationships.
These relationships significantly enhance job
satisfaction and they can promote the careers of anyone involved in
public Real Estate.
I want to commend the immediate Past President William Larsen and
his team for their remarkable
accomplishments during their 18-month
term instead of the usual 12 months, necessitated by the Chapter's
transition
from a calendar year to a fiscal year in order to meet
the needs of our growing Association, with its nerve center at the
International Headquarters in Gardena, CA.
Also, the
chapter has changed over to the Headquarters-based accounting system and
we did this in advance of most other chapters. This integration helps
create a better organized and more responsive Association, enabling it
to focus on the improvement of member services and the quality of our
training courses.
Thanks to the savvy business management of our
past officers and chair persons the chapter has grown steadily.
This able leadership coupled with
high attendance at courses and seminars has placed our chapter in
the
right position to meet the growing demand for high quality professional
training.
We truly are an outstanding chapter.
Historically, we are the founding chapter from which "it all
began" over 75 years ago. Many of our members are deeply involved in
projects of regional and national significance.
I am a proud and grateful member of my profession, the IRWA, and
this outstanding chapter. I am filled with enthusiasm about serving its
members, growing its ranks, and helping our public and private Right of
Way professionals reach their professional development and career goals.
It is important to recognize that all members of the Executive Board
are members like you who generously donate their valuable time and
energy to serve other members.
This is a demanding
and noble task and I am grateful to every member of the Board for their
enthusiasm and commitment to the advancement of the Right of Way
profession.
